Principle:

The machine designed for washing celeriac offers an efficient and practical solution for cleaning these vegetables in an automated way.
The process begins when the operator manually places the celeriac bulbs into the machine’s infeed hopper. Once inside, the celeriac passes between two rotating brushes that effectively clean the surface by removing dirt, impurities and residues.
To ensure thorough cleaning, a tubular spray bar is positioned just above the brushes and supplied with water. This spray bar provides a continuous flow of water during the washing process, guaranteeing effective and hygienic cleaning of the celeriac.
A stainless steel screw conveyor is used to guide the celeriac through the machine. This rotating guide is adjustable from outside the chassis, allowing it to be easily adapted to the calibre of the celeriac being processed. This enables the machine to handle different diameters, offering maximum flexibility and versatility.
After the washing process, the celeriac is guided by the screw conveyor to the discharge of the machine, ready for packaging or further processing.
